Tomo: JARED GENERALLY WRITES THINGS AT THE SAME TIME. HE WILL HAVE A MELODY IDEA AND A COUPLE OF LINES, AND AS THAT IS HAPPENING HE IS IMAGINING HOW THE SONG WILL SOUND WHEN IT’S DONE. IT ALL STARTS WITH A DREAM.

Jared: IT IS A SYMBOLIC GESTURE THAT I STARTED DOING TO SHOW THE UNITY BETWEEN MARS AND EVERYONE ELSE AT THE SHOWS…A WAY FOR US ALL TO BE TOTALLY CONNECTED.

Shannon: The edge is boundaries, limits, expectations, I believe to evolve these must be pushed to the extreme, even eradicated.

Tomo: WE WERE JUST DREAMING IN GENERAL. THE BEST PART ABOUT MAKING MUSIC IS THAT ITS PURE CREATION. ITS BRINGING TO LIFE SOMETHING THAT HADN’T PREVIOUSLY EXISTED.

Tomo: I THINK ITS PRETTY SAFE TO SAY THAT MY HAIR IN THE WIND AT THE GRAND CANYON WAS A PRETTY FUNNY MOMENT. GOOD THING NONE OF US FELL INTO THE CANYON LAUGHING!

Shannon: I think a remix by Daft Punk or Deadmau5 could be quite interesting.

Tomo: I THINK THAT DEEP DOWN WE ALWAYS KNEW THAT IT WAS A POWERFUL SONG, AND IT DEFINITELY MADE US ALL FEEL SOMETHING WHICH IS AN IMPORTANT QUALITY FOR A SONG. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO THREATEN A SONG WITH DEATH IN ORDER FOR IT TO FIGHT ITS WAY BACK TO LIFE…
